Today we will explore the villages around our homestay called Lambanapu and Mauliru by bicycle and you will learn about the natural and traditional weaving process of Sumba. While many other local weavers switched to industrially spun yarn and chemical dyes for the sake of saving time and money, the weavers in this village still use the traditional, hand spun yarn made out of cotton and natural dyes. On this fascinating learning journey, a group of weavers will show you each step of the fine traditional ikat weaving. In the afternoon if the time permits, we will take you to Puru Kambera beach to enjoy the relaxing and windy late afternoon before you wrap up the day in the accommodation.

It is located in Manupeu-Tana Daru National Park, and formed along a 70m high rock cliff. On your way to the waterfall, you can enjoy the picturesque panorama of mountains and the countryside, as well as the sub-tropical forest with a number of endemic animals.
