DAY 1 – Arrival in East Flores – Weaving Community
Welcome to the magical Flores Island!
Our team on the ground will warmly welcome you after you have landed. We take you to Watublapi, a small community that is well known for their fine traditional ikat weaving. They still stick to traditional handspun yarn made out of local cotton and natural dyes.
They will welcome you with traditional dance and music. You will have a rare chance to get a taste of the Sikkanese tradition. We will have a lovely welcome dinner together before we take you to the accommodation.

DAY 2 – Maumere Island Hopping
Island hopping is great especially if you have the islands for yourself. The islands in Maumere are beautiful and but have not yet been explored by many tourists. Our boat leaves at 8.00am and we can choose if we want to snorkel on our day trip.
In the morning by boat, we leave for Pangabatang island, Babi and Koja Doi island in the area of Maumere Bay Marine Park. Pangabatang and Babi Island are famous for their beautiful diving/ snorkeling spots and white sand beaches. For a beach with white sand, Pangabatang is much more in demand by visitors. Spend some time for snorkeling and other activities on these islands till the afternoon.
Be prepared for stunning coral reefs and colorful fish species with clear water. It feels like paradise. (Lunch box is provided)

DAY 3 – Koka Beach – Waturaka
Today, we will take you to an eco-lodge in the mountains. On the way, we will stop by at the beach. This beach is located at two bays separated by a small island with with turquoise blue water. This will take some time until you realize this is not paradise but Flores. We think it is the perfect place to lay back and relax while enjoying a little local picknick.
After a long drive up to the mountains, take your time to explore around the eco-lodge and enjoy the tranquility of the environment. Enjoy the tropical gardens around where the organic fruits, vegetables, and rice is growing. This gorgeous view around you will leave you in awe!

DAY 4 – Kelimutu Sunrise Trekking: Bajawa
In the very early morning (04.45am), you will need to get up for a short trekking. You will climb the mountain before the sun rises and reach the top right on time. You are now overlooking three crater lakes, all in different colours and they constantly change from blue, turquoise to red and green, on the highest point of the volcano. So mystical and definitely worth to get up early.
From the Peak you can freely see the two craters of Tiwu Atapolo and Tiwu Ko’o Fai Nuwa Muri in the south and one other crater, Tiwu Ata Bupu in the north. Spend some time to take in this extraordinary natural beauty and then we will leave for Bajawa. We will stop by a moment to having lunch at Pari Koro restaurant (at own expense). After lunch we continue the trip to Penggajwa Beach to see the beach filled with green rocks. These pebbled stones suddenly appeared from the sea.
In the late afternoon you will check into your accommodation.

DAY 5 – Bajawa: Ruteng
This morning, we will drive up to Ruteng. On the way we will visit Bena village, the megalithic village. The magnificent stone formations and ancestral shrines are very interesting to explore as well as the traditional houses. There are 9 nine tribes inhibited the village. From the village we can continue trekking to Gurusina traditional village and stop over at Malanage hot spring.
Then after continuing our drive, we can visit Aimere and learn about the local ‘tuak’ process, the process of making local wine by distilling the raw lontar palm juice to become alcoholic liquor known as ‘arak’ before arriving in Ruteng.

DAY 6 – Ruteng Cycling Tour: Tengkulese Waterfall
Morning cycling using the provided mountain bike. Enjoy the scenic greenery rice fields and villages around the area. Afterwards, we will continue our activity to Tengkulese waterfall. Tengkulese waterfall, referred to as Cunca Lega. “Cunca” means waterfall in the Manggaraian language. The trekking to the site which is located in the northern part of Ruteng is astonishing yet moderate to challenging. This breathtaking two-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush forest and rice terraces.
Then, we will drive to Liang Bua cave, an archaelogy site where “The Hobbits” of Flores was founded. The hobbits (Homo Floresiensis) skeletal evidence shows they stood only about 106 cm (3’6″) tall, and weighed around 30-40 kg (66-86 lbs).
Then, we will return back to your accommodation.

DAY 7 – Departure in Labuan Bajo!
Today you will still be able to see the surroundings of Ruteng such as the spider web rice fields and then continue your journey to the west side of the island called Labuan Bajo. Enjoy the scenic drive and this extraordinary island. We can either drop you at the airport or you can continue to explore the Komodo National Park and we will drop you in a place of your choice in Labuan Bajo.
